I’m a little late to the blogging and social media game. It all took off so fast it was hard to break through the clutter of a “me too” culture that had everyone and their brother setting up a blog to ramble about things I don’t care about. It was hard to find value in any of it. I didn’t want to be a “me too” blogger and wasn’t sure how I could add to the conversation in a meaningful way.

You’ve got a guy…

As my experience as a developer grew I realized that I do have something to say. Everyone wants to know what “the tech guy” knows but doesn’t necessarily have an interest in learning the details in-depth. They “just want it to work”. I get that. I don’t have a degree in computer science and I am almost entirely self-taught when it comes to technology; because it interests me, not because it’s my job or I had to learn it in school. So my goal is to explain various aspects of technology in a plain-english, easy-to-digest way for people who “just want it to work”.

Some people love technology. Some despise it. Whether we like it or not we are forced to use technology every day in our lives and in our jobs. Being a “tech geek” myself all my friends know me as someone who can help them with their various tech problems. So now, through this blog and just like my friends, you’ve got a guy that will try to help you with your tech problems.
